Your Central Heating System cannot be clean enough. Clean water running through your boiler and radiators will guarantee:

 

• Efficiency of the gas boiler and radiators are maintained
• The gas boiler valves, pipe work and radiators require less maintenance and will last longer
• The Central Heating System will be quieter.

 

What is the best way to clean?

Certainly not by draining and flushing with a hose, even with additives the larger particles and debris will remain trapped in the system. You will, of course, witness sludge and sediment from the hose but do not be fooled.

 

The only way

Connect a filtration system with its own pump and circulate the water throughout the central heating system water ways so that the debris and particles are gently washed into the collection part of the filtration system. This process is referred to in the trade as ‘Power Flushing’ and unfortunately people associate power flushing with ‘Jet Wash’, ‘Power Spray’ etc. However this is not the case and the water is swept around the pipe work with the unwanted debris and sludge being collected and thrown away. The cleansing will take around half a day to complete and your central heating system will have clean water, free of sludge and debris. Add an inhibitor and the water in your system will remain clean for many years to come.

 

Taking things to the next level

Your radiators are made of mild steel and are filled with water and with the presence of air in the system you will have corrosion.
